In his current role, he uses his extensive expertise to drive his vision of an expansive digital transformation and platformation in foodpanda’s finance function.

Experienced Senior Finance Executive with 20 years of local and international experience spending majority of which as a young senior international manager in Lafargeholcim Ltd. mostly in Switzerland and United Kingdom with regional responsibilities in East Asia, Oceania, Americas and Europe.

He is a Certified Public Accountant from San Beda University (Philippines) with Executive Leadership and Management certifications from Center for Creative Leadership (Colorado USA), PDI (Singapore) and Duke Corporate Education Ltd. (Switzerland).

Jay has extensive international leadership experience in building and scaling fast-growing startups in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. He's currently the CFO of PayMongo, formerly the CFO of GCash and formerly CFO-turned President and Chairman of MoneyMax. He's a founding team member of Southeast Asia’s leading digital finance platform, Hyphen Group (formerly CompareAsiaGroup), where he built its finance function from scratch and helped raise Series A and B for a total of $110 million from some of the well-known investors of the world.

Jay is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA), a Certified Financial Consultant (CFC) and an Associate Financial Planner (AFP). He also worked as an auditor for PwC and KPMG early in his career.
Outside of work, Jay spends his time reading, blogging, singing, and writing songs. Jay is also an angel investor and mentors start-up founders both locally and abroad.
