Win the talent war: Leveraging international talent for your organisation’s recruitment strategy

Watch on demand

As the COVID-19 pandemic rages on, the Australian economy and jobs market has seen unprecedented volatility. Employers are currently staring down the barrel of The Great Resignation, which - compounded with reduced immigration to Australia over the last two years - has created a talent war.

Employers operating in critical sectors  - such as Tech, Engineering, and Financial Services  - have been most affected by this trend, particularly at the Mid-Senior level. However, in the midst of all the chatter about ‘Fortress Australia’, what many do not realise is how much Australia’s border policies have relaxed since the start of the Pandemic to facilitate employers’ ready access to large numbers of overseas talent in these skill-short sectors.

Join Reginald Ram  - our specialist in the Mining, Engineering & Construction sector  - and Leah Kang  - our resident immigration expert, where they will provide an overview of the Australian Mining Engineering & Construction job market, analyse global trends and data on how your organisation can better target international talent, and outline how the current Australian border policies can be leveraged to gain a competitive edge in the market.

This webinar is the first in a series of sector-specific webinars addressing how organisations can address talent shortages to remain competitive during this volatile time. It will be of special interest to organisations and HR professionals working in the Mining, Engineering & Construction sector.
