Shay has worked as part of the team at Robert Walters for 10 years and is responsible for our NZ business across three offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Having graduated with a Bachelor or Law & Arts from Victoria University, Shay specialised in business development for a leading global e-information and solutions company and before moving into recruitment for another well respected consultancy in London.
Shay regularly appears as a thought leader, commenting on the talent landscape in NZ across different media channels. He was also a ‘Recruitment Leader of the Year’ finalist for the Seek Awards and was a winner of the Recruitment Leader of the Year award at the RCSA awards.
Working alongside Robert Walters innovation team, Shay has been responsible for moving the NZ business forward, integrating technological advancements and challenging the status quo. As one of the early adopters of video in the hiring process, Shay has six years’ experience in this environment and can provide advice to people looking to integrate video or optimise their use of video in the remote hiring process.

In December 2019, Spark Hire expanded globally, opening an office in Melbourne to cover and grow their presence in the APAC region. Luke was appointed as the Customer Success Manager for APAC and is responsible for Spark Hire’s continued growth and retention in the region; helping customers, companies and government agencies to navigate and build sustainable video strategies to support candidate experience and enhance their employer brand.

With over 10 years’ experience within digital and data recruitment, Isla helps shape the innovation project roadmap at Robert Walters including Artificial Intelligent matching, analytics & insights, diverse hiring and next-generation recruitment operations.
Isla is passionate about finding solutions to challenges, and is a big advocate for tech enabling better human connections
